2026-05-22 Mitsubishi Electric Corporation “On May 22, 2026, nine companies—Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, Takatoshi Kogyo Co., Ltd., Toko Kinzoku Co., Ltd., Refineverse Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, digglue Inc., Nippon Polypropylene Co., Ltd., Rhombic Co., Ltd., and Toyota Motor Corporation (Domatics), which will participate as a cooperating company—will begin a feasibility study aimed at implementing a "recycled plastic centralization base in the Kanto region" to ensure a stable supply of high-quality recycled plastics for automobiles and other applications. The study will comprehensively verify the collection, sorting, and recycling of used plastics, as well as the material design and traceability of recycled plastics.”
